Butter up at Beauty and Butter

Don’t you just love facials? Count me in, 2 years ago, I was plagued with severe acne because of allergic reactions but good thing, a few trips to Dermclinic cleared my skin. Facials from Dermclinic involves pricking which I always wanted to skip. i just love the massage and masks part during facials. Beauty & Butter heard my plea when I had my facial at their Megamall branch.

Beauty & Butter, SM Megamall

Beauty & Butter is a newly opened nail art salon in at the 5th Flr. of SM Megamall Bldg. A. They specialize in nail art but they also have foot and hand spa and of course, facials, which, if you’re someone who loves pampering or an everydayhealth.com devotee, sounds like heaven. I was gravitated by their edgy facade that’s why I took a look at their list of services at the board displayed just outside the salon. I love the names and descriptions of their services…

I peeked at the interiors and saw cool and comfy chairs so I decided to give it a go.

The most basic facial, Beauty and Butter Facial costs Php 250 because it doesn’t include masks. I opted for their Those were the Days facial for Php 350, mask included. The facial involved cleansing, facial massage, facial scrub, a very cool eye mask and a ginseng-based mask. I’m not big on the scent of ginseng but that’s the mask that comes with my treatment, I’ll try other treatment next time. The attendant was kind enough to ask if I wanted pricking and I said no. Just the facial massage and other face pampering is better.

The facial lasted for an hour, I must have dozed off at some point of my facial because I feel revived after the facial. The comfy chairs and cozy lighting made me relax even more. I plan to have my mani/pedi or foot spa on my next visit, look how the foot spa spaces/chairs are clean and classy …

Beauty and Butter also has branches in SM San Lazaro and Mall of Asia. The Mall of Asia branch is quite small compared to Megamall.

this is one thing i love about the phils. you can easily go to beauty parlors without having to deplete your savings. facials are affordable and they have very great service. pricking is fine with me, for some reason i like it, heheh. i mean i dont hate the painful feeling but i like the fact that it makes me feel thoroughly clean. i am acne prone and after a facial it kinda refreshes me to not see the bumps and all. i luv facials.

I had a Footsie and mani-pedi here a while ago with my mother and sister. The interiors and window display are really nice, compared to the two other salons just across. It’s like a theater setup, and there are two wide TVs in front of you but they keep the audio low because of course, the clients should relax.
Plus, there aren’t many clients – you enjoy the whole space for yourself, and you’re not in full view of the traffic outside. Con: there are only a small number of attendants so you have to wait until they finish. But I am sure to come back =)

By the way, doesn’t pricking make breakouts worse?

to tell u honestly, the only thing tha’s nice is the ambiance of the said salon, however those in the platform (attendants) were not really good… service is not really nice (it will only take 5-15 mins including massage and pricking and the whole 45 mins is for masked .. u will not really enjoy , the reason why its inexpensive :) :) sorry

Thanks for sharing this. I really love B&B but I have yet to try their facials. Their foot pampering treatments are divine, you can try it next time.

Btw, I am also loyal to Dermclinic! :)
